Hi All,

I'm new to the site and thought it best to say Hello.

What a brilliant idea you have here, I've used your facility several times and would like to say a big thanks to the author and his/her team.

THANKS

I’m always reading warnings regarding tracker “denis stalker!!!”

What are your views on this topic?

Never had any problems myself, the tracker does "seem" to go away from time to time, and for that reason alone I would not use it a primary tracker unless all else fails.

Hello, i have used your service for over 2 months now and was wondering why your tracker list was kinda small, if you would like i can submit a large list of trackers that accept any torrent for you to use.

The tracker list is the result of a query of a number of sites that share stats on torrents.
There may be more trackers for a torrent BUT the list provided by btR is the most up-to-date list of trackers having a reasonable number of seeds/peers for that torrent at the time of the query.

A tracker "accepting" a torrent to share may take too long developing enough seeds/peers for typical use.

If I were to add any trackers to the backend searching function - they would have to be able and willing to accept queries about hash-id's and return a list of all the trackers that also share the torrent.

Hope this answers your question.

I understand that you want trackers that give stats, seeds & Leech, but i know that most on the list will give up the data. most are using bnbt, xbiti, or open tracker software.

I think people are misunderstanding what the site does.
You submit a torrent
the site code uses that torrents hash-id to find trackers that have that torrent (identified by its hash-id)
then the site returns a list of the trackers it has found that are serving info about that torrent.
Simply connecting to a tracker that accepts connections doesn't mean that the tracker knows about any clients sharing that torrent (seeds/peers)

The list that the site returns is not exhaustive by any means but it's usually sufficient to get your download done
and every tracker in the list is serving client info for peer connections.

This site is not about making your torrents download faster, its more about getting your downloads to actually complete.

Most trackers will provide scrape information, however with a list of 900 or so trackers, scraping each one for each torrent that the site is interested in consumes a load of bandwidth and takes a lot of time.
Performing general scrapes - while perhaps more efficient, gives us data about torrents we don't care about and takes longer to execute - quite often exceeding server execution allocations.

I hope that clears up any misunderstandings.

After I re-write the majority of the sites codebase there'll be a little more information about whats going on, how many trackers the site knows about and some client-side utilities as well.

I may also have to introduce paid membership, the site is costing me money.
If I could just get it to pay for itself I'd be happy, but that's a long way off, I've had a total of 20 dollars worth of donations since the site began and have yet to see a cent from the advertising appearing in the sites pages.
So please donate - whatever you can afford
