Check the stats - for all the use the sites has had, it has generated absoluteley no revenue whatsoever, either from advertising or donations so I've been forced to add a pop-over in the main reannounce page encouraging people to make a donation. I apologise for the inconvenience
Whatever anyone can spare would be appreciated. However little, it all adds up.

I've been busy with paid work, children being on holidays ..etc so not much will change very quickly untill at least the end of Jan.
But be assured things will get better when I get the time.
In the meantime btreannouncer has its own domain name -: http://btreannouncer.net
There's a bit of work involved in moving the site, so for now the domain is forwarding to this page
but as soon as I can I'll move the entire site to its own hosting account.

Well, I'm trying to move the site to its new domain and had all sorts of nightmares
The database is soo big now that import/export via phpadmin wont work anymore and ex/importing using sql tools (mysqldump ..etc) breaks because the files take too long to process and the server time slice is exeeded
The lovely new version I'd been working on and testing from home - in-advertantly got clobbered by my own stupidity - namley using a graphical ftp program in the wrong direction (another reason to use ftp from the command line) - get and put are harder to screw up that drag and drop
I have a slightly older backup so not all has been lost but I'll have to work on it to get up to date again - another set back I dont need
I realise now that I have to set a cookie or session variable when the "Please Donate" popover is displayed to only display it once per session, sorry folks, I had no intention of making it quite so annoying! - I'll get on it right after the move.
I'm still working on migrating the database to the new server - when I get that done I'll redirect this url to the new location
The forum is temporarily disabled during the move - I've managed to move its database quite successfully and dont want to do it again
I expect to have the move completed - free time permitting - by Monday, earlier if possible.
You'll be notified before redirect once the move is complete

Thanks for using btR and thanks for your patience while I get things sorted out

The move is complete!

Everthing still seems to work - Post a message in the Issues Forum if you find a problem

I've started a journal of the previous updates in this forum

The "Please Donate" Pop-Over should now only display once per session

Please do donate whatever you can spare.
To those that have made donations (both of you) - thank you very much
I intend to create a reward scheme down the line, so donations will have their benefits
Total revenue raised from this site is now at $3.00 AUD

Added the start of an RSS feed to the site - There's a link at the top of the page.
Will add an RSS mod to phpbb as well when I have time to read the install instructions

The most important mod I need to make tho is to rank the discovered trackers by seeds/peers and show those figures beside the tracker list - I just need to find the time.

Seems that many of the "usual suspects" are unreachable at the moment - at least from a few networks, if
you find http://www.h33t.com:3310/announce in your list of discovvered trackers, use it as a primary

The page at btreannouncer.kritical-it.com is now 301 directed to this location
If you have any links to locations within that site, they may still work for a while - at least until I delete all the old code ;)

If you get any forbidden/page not found errors while accessing this site - it's most usually while I am uploading an updated file,
do a reload and the page should upload just fine - It happens most often when I am updating the main/front page news items

The upload limit for metafiles has been increased to 500kb.

Consider this a temporary mod - if the limit gets abused I'll reduce it again.

Seasons Greatings!
The upload limit has been reduced again - sorry folks, since I increased it the sites bandwidth usage went up 400%
So to avoid the site being disabled over the holiday season the upload limit is reverting back to 300Kb
In the new year I'll probably increase it again, along with many other changes and new features I've got planned for the site.
Enjoy your holiday season, enjoy your families and loved ones, be safe, well and happy!
All the best!
